Brand Profile…
…
The vision for the company was to devise creative and easy to wear fashion that would flatter women’s figures. The clothes were designed to be unrestrictive and reflective of the changing social trend which was producing strong confident career women. Cacharel believes in embracing and celebrating femininity, creativity and individuality; its philosophy is for its products to be unconstrained and liberated.
Fragrance
Cacharel’s fragrances are produced in collaboration with L’Oréal, (a Parisian cosmetics company founded in 1901) and the first scent was released in 1978.
‘Anaïs Anaïs’ was the original fragrance, containing a floral blend of lily, rose and sandalwood with a hint of frankincense. This was followed three years later by ‘Cacharel pour L’Homme’ which was the perfume house’s first male fragrance. The scent contained coriander, sage and cedar, and was designed for the confident and debonair man.
The next perfumes released were ‘LouLou’, which is spicy and floral and ‘Eden’, which is influenced by oriental and floral notes. ‘LouLou Blue’ and ‘Eau d’Eden’ followed later with updated twists to the fragrances in 1995 and 1996 respectively.
‘Noa’ is a product range designed to reflect tranquillity, grace and harmony. It includes ‘Noa’, ‘Noa Fleur’ and ‘Noa Perle’ which contain notes of peony, pink pepper and orange blossom.
Cacharel’s largest fragrance product line to date is Amor. ‘Amor Sunshine’ reflects a holiday atmosphere, using notes of orchid and tropical nectar. ‘Amor Elixir’ is designed to inspire passion, confidence and determination in the wearer with vanilla and blackcurrant and ‘Amor Amor’, which emphasises the importance of attraction and atmosphere, uses vanilla, jasmine and blackcurrant. This product line also includes a fragrance for men ‘Amor pour Homme’ which uses spicy and citrus scents.
The remaining scents released by Cacharel are ‘Gloria’, which has notes of rose, hibiscus and amber, ‘Nemo’, which is a male fragrance using exotic herbs, spices and amber, ‘Promesse’ which is a fruity fragrance inspired by confidence, desire and romance, and ‘Liberté’ which encapsulates the spirit of freedom and adventure with notes of patchouli and orange blossom.
