Fragrances
The first Calvin Klein fragrance to be released was ‘Obsession’ which was an oriental and spicy perfume. The male counterpart introduced in 1986 contained sandalwood, amber, mandarin and spice. Also in the Obsession product line is: ‘Obsession Night’, with both a male and female scent, and ‘Obsession Sheer’ which contains more floral notes.
In 1988 Calvin Klein introduced its Eternity product line: ‘Eternity’ which is a floral scent with patchouli and amber, ‘Eternity Moment’ which is floral, ‘Eternity Purple Orchid’ with notes of musk, plum and freesia, ‘Eternity Rose Blush’ with water lily, sandalwood and rose and ‘Eternity Summer’ which is a fruity and wood based scent. For men the range included ‘Eternity’ with jasmine, sage, basil and rosewood and ‘Eternity Summer’.
Three years later, ‘Escape’, as both cologne and perfume was released which contains fruity notes of apple, mandarin, plum and peach.
CK One is a major product line for Calvin Klein, focussing on a younger market. ‘CK One’ has notes of papaya, pineapple and green tea. ‘CK Electric’ and ‘CK Summer’ are both fruity and citrus based scents and ‘CK Scene’ completes the product line with ylang-ylang, ginger root and nectarine.
‘CK Be’ is a natural fragrance with notes of magnolia and peach. ‘Contradiction’, with male and female versions, uses floral and spicy notes.
Two recent product lines from Calvin Klein are Truth and Euphoria. ‘Truth’ for both male and female uses jasmine and green tea and ‘Truth Lush’ uses floral notes. ‘Euphoria’ has exotic ingredients such as mahogany, persimmon and lotus blossom. ‘Euphoria Blossom’ also has innovative notes of peony and pomegranate and ‘Euphoria Lustre’ and the male version of ‘Euphoria’ are oriental and spicy.
The remaining scents in the Calvin Klein range are: ‘Crave’, a rich male fragrance, ‘CK in2u’ which uses cactus, orchid, sugar and amber in the female perfume, and grapefruit, gin, lime and cocoa in the male cologne, and ‘Calvin Klein Man’ released in 2007 with fruity and floral notes.
