Estee Lauder herself established the company with her husband in 1946 in order to create a cosmetic dynasty. Her first fragrance was Youthdew, which was in fact bath oil with a lingering quality that meant it also had an enduring fragrance. Although many of the Company’s fragrances were created decades ago, the Estee Lauder Company is continually developing and updating its ranges, for instance adding pleasures Delight and pleasures Exotic to the original pleasures fragrance family. In addition to building on their classic fragrances, the brand is still pushing nasal boundaries by developing exciting new scents for today’s modern women.
The launch of Beyond Paradise in 2003 was a massive success for Estee Lauder, and its stunning rainbow-coloured raindrop bottle has become iconic. So Sensuous launched in summer 2008 has already become exceptionally popular as it harmoniously combines woody and floral undertones to provide a mature scent. Elizabeth Hurley’s association with this product and Gwyneth Paltrow’s product endorsement of Pure White Linen adds a touch of glamour to the fragrances.
