Iceberg Perfume

The Iceberg brand was founded in 1962 by the Italian partners Silvio Gerani and Guiliana Marchini. Guiliana was the creative force behind the venture which was managed by the designer’s husband Silvio. Today, their son Paolo Gerani is the deputy-chairman of the Gilmar group, of which the brand is a part, and has a creative and managerial role to play in the Iceberg business.

In 1994, Guiliana Marchini was the only woman to be knighted for her ’services to industry’ and became only the 14th woman to ever receive this honour from the President of the Italian Republic.

The Iceberg business began as a small knitwear manufacturing firm and grew, thanks to the innovative moves its designers made, to the size it has currently reached. In 1974, Iceberg launched the first ever fashion range to use the idea of fashionable sportswear. The knitwear garments producers employed fresh manufacturing techniques, new fabrics and original designs including the use of Andy Warhol’s iconic Pop Art.

Iceberg gradually grew in manufacturing capabilities and reputation as it signed a deal with Toyota in 1987, opened its first boutique in Milan in 1989 and a number of new showrooms. The brand has gone on to branch out into different fashion spheres and have launched unique leatherwear lines, accessories and perfumes to date.

Iceberg have released numerous separate perfume selections, almost all of which have fragrances for men and women. Iceberg Perfumes strike a delicate balance between flowery aromas and deeper, more dynamic woody fragrances. Iceberg Femme and Iceberg Homme, the first fragrances created were launched in 1989 and 1991 respectively. Subsequently, Twice, Universe, Gerani and Fluid, Fluid Light and Effusion were released with complimentary versions for men and women. Twice Ice was created in 1998, but with only a version for women.
