Brand Profile…

Nina Ricci Brand Profile
‘Nina’ was released in 1987 (a newer edition appeared in 2006) and became one of the most popular fragrances in the Nina Ricci line. ‘Nina’ is a magical fairy tale, telling of a beautiful heroine who is a graceful dreamer. Femininity and romanticism are encapsulated in this truly special perfume. Like an enchanted elixir it captures magic and charm. Bursts of lemon and green lime, envelope the heart notes of caramel, peony, moon flower and smooth vanilla. Apple tree, white cedar and musk form the base notes. For dreamers and romanticists this perfume is a must, best worn during the day or early evening.

Created in 1948 ‘L’air du Temps’ by Nina Ricci is a feminine and truly original fragrance. Through the generations ‘L’air du Temps’ has always been a bestseller among perfume for women, famous for its distinct bottle with dove decorations. A floral and spicy medley make up this fragrance. Pungent gardenia with carnation, rose centifolia and jasmine as well as the sensuality of sandalwood with iris can be found in the base notes.

A love story unfolds in the aromas of ‘Love in Paris’. Melodic notes of rose, vanilla and musk offer a refreshing promise of longing and devotion.

‘Farouche’ is a pretty, floral scent with top notes of mandarin, jasmine, bergamot, rose, peach and cardamom. Bottom notes are made up of oak moss, musk and sandalwood. Similar to this scent is ‘Delices d’epices’ (1999) which contains grapefruit, apple and orange with heart notes of cinnamon, jasmine, orchid, cardamom and carnation. Vanilla and cedar are found in the base notes. Bother fragrances are fruity, summery scents which make a great addition to daily wear.

In 1982, ‘Fleur de Fleurs’ was released. Jasmine, iris, rose and white flowers make up top notes for a bright floral flavour. Zesty lemon and bergamot blend with magnolia and ylang ylang for lush heart notes. Vanilla and sandalwood accords complete this heavenly perfume.

For those who prefer a woodier and sharper scent, ‘Deci Dela’ combines enticing fruits with wooden accords. Moss, cedar wood, hazelnut, apricot, raspberry and melon fuse with each other to create a luscious perfume. Though in limited availability ‘pretty’ is also distinct in its fruity and wooden combination. Jasmine sambac, raspberry, apple and grapefruit are followed by apple tree, caramel, musk and vanilla. However, do not fret, this delicious fragrance will become available later this year as a new second edition.

Beside ‘Nina’. ‘L’air du Temps’ and ‘love in Paris’ a further perfume for women by Nina Ricci became widely popular and is known as ‘Premier Jour’. This humble day time scent is irresistible with accords of gardenia, mandarin and musk.

‘Memoire d’homme’ (2002) is one of the few Nina Ricci perfumes for men. Though flowery and fresh the sharp aroma of liquorice leaf and grapefruit make this pungent fragrance best suitable for the evening. It also contains Bengali ginger, nutmeg, citron wood and opoline.

After its first edition in 1964 ‘Signoricci’ was remade in 1976 and since then has been among the bestselling men’s perfume by Nina Ricci. Alluring mandarin, alpine lavender, sage and petitgrain make up a spicy pot-pourri with accords of wood and moss. Citrus-like and long lasting, it is perfect for the modern man.

Elegance, charm and often dreamy magic are the epitome of Nina Ricci fragrance. Because her perfumes are lush and aromatic it is no surprise that some of them have become bestsellers on the market.
