It started out as a boutique mainly selling leather goods. In 1978, Prada was taken over by granddaughter Miuccia Bianchi Prada. Today, it is a privately-held, family-owned company with headquarters in Milan, Italy. It is run by Miuccia Prada and her husband Patrizio Bertelli, who is CEO. The company also owns other brands including Jil Sander, Helmut Lang, Miu Miu, Carshoe and Church & Co.
The Prada Look
Prada’s signature look is modern, sleek, minimal yet elegant. Prada’s creations include the use clean lines, luxury fabrics and basic block colours such as blacks, browns, greys and creams. In fact, it has been said that Prada’s designs, simple and industrial, are akin to wearing uniforms. Famous Prada designs include the ‘anti-status’ practical black nylon backpacks and tote bags launched in 1985 which ironically became a fashion must-have. A nonconformist by nature, Miucci Prada’s designs are largely influenced by the ideas of freedom, bohemia and the avant-garde. Besides clothes, shoes and bags, Prada also designs fragrances, cosmetics and home furnishings.

Launched in 2004, this Prada Fragrance is ultra feminine. It is carefully blended with the best ingredients, dominated by the scent of amber. Contained in a modern glass bottle with a traditional atomizer pump.
PRADA For Him
Launched in 2006, Prada’s original men’s fragrance Prada for Men, is rich and distinctive. Amber is mixed with the masculine notes of traditional barber’s soap.
PRADA Tendre For Her
Launched in 2006, this is a radiant scent which is light and fresh.
PRADA Infusion d’Iris For Her
Launched in 2007, this fragrance is evocative of luxurious perfumery from a bygone era. The ingredients used are fresh iris combined with Sicilian mandarin.
