Dame Vivienne Westwood, was born Vivienne Isabel Swire on the 8 April 1941. She is an English fashion designer mostly known for her outrageous punk creations. In the 1970s, she owned the notorious SEX boutique on the Kings Road in London. The shop is now known as World’s End.

Vivienne Westwood’s second husband Malcolm McLaren was the manager for The Sex Pistols. He opened a shop where Vivienne Westwood first started selling her shocking designs. Her creations gained notoriety when the Sex Pistols started to wear her punk designs. Her creations include the use of bondage gear, safety pins, razor blades, bicycle or lavatory chains and spiked dog collars. She is known for contrasting these extreme materials with more traditional elements such tartan fabric. Vivienne Westwood’s work is also greatly influenced by history and politics; she has used 17th and 18th century fashions as part of her designs.
Today, there are only a handful of Vivienne Westwood shops. There are shops in the major cities of the UK including London, Manchester, Liverpool, Newcastle, Leeds and Nottingham.
Vivienne Westwood has been honoured in the 2006 New Year’s Honours List for services to fashion, and has been awarded the British Designer of the Year three times.

Vivienne Westwood’s Anglomania is a fresh and sensual fragrance which blends Asian influences with roses. Boudoir, launched in 1998, is a feminine scent which is great for evening wear. Let It Rock is an oriental fragrance, an exotic blend of bergamot and freesia, jasmine heart and a base of amber and patchouli. Ideal for daytime wear, Libertine, launched in 2001, is a revitalising feminine fragrance. It possesses a blend of rose, bergamot, amber and patchouli.
